Robert Madden is a registered patent attorney with the intellectual property law firm Seager, Tufte & Wickhem LLP, based in the firm’s Minneapolis office.
Robert’s practice centers on patent applications and prosecution, both domestically and internationally. He has extensive experience handling a wide range of patent matters, including U.S., international, and design patent applications.
Before beginning his legal career, Robert gained valuable experience in the automotive industry, where he designed and programmed industrial control systems. He later worked in a requirements management group, developing design and testing requirements for automotive electrical components.

Robert received a B.S. with Distinction from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, and received a Masters Degree in Manufacturing Management for GMI Engineering & Management Institute, (now Kettering University), in Flint, Michigan. He attended law school at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago Illinois (now the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law), where he was on the school’s law review, and graduated cum laude.
